Psychological Support for Autism

How We Work with Autism

One of the key advantages of our center is the ability to provide early intervention. Family members and doctors can notice developmental issues at the earliest stages of a child’s growth. Our specialists conduct early psychological diagnostics using the Bailey Scales and ADOS-2 methodologies, allowing us to develop an individualized program before the symptoms fully manifest.

If you observe any deviations in how an infant looks, listens, moves, interacts with parents, perceives emotional signals, and responds to them, you can immediately begin working on these deviations. The earlier interventions begin for children at risk or already showing autism spectrum symptoms—before crucial developmental periods are lost and symptoms worsen—the greater their chances of normal development in the future.

Observations have shown that in autism spectrum disorders (ASD), fundamental impairments appear gradually from early infancy and can be detected as soon as they emerge. The earlier ASD signs are identified, the higher the likelihood of laying a strong foundation for healthy relationships, communication, and thinking—in other words, reversing the core deficits characteristic of autism.

Why Not ABA or Behavioral Therapy Alone?

Our specialists are trained in behavioral therapy techniques, which are effective in correcting external behaviors such as aggression or defiance. However, children who undergo only behavioral therapy tend to show minimal progress in learning and have limited or no social and emotional interaction skills.

For this reason, we integrate behavioral therapy with other methods, including:

  • Neuropsychological correction

  • Floortime (DIR) therapy, based on modern neuroscience and cognitive development research

Core Principles of Our Autism Program:

1️⃣ Speech, thinking, emotional, and social skills are acquired through emotionally meaningful relationships.

  • Family involvement is crucial, as relationships and emotional interactions primarily develop within the family environment.

2️⃣ Children have different abilities in processing sensory and motor information.

  • Many children with autism struggle with planning complex actions and executing them in sequence—this underlies many stereotypical behaviors.

  • To address sensory integration challenges, we use:

    • Neuropsychological correction methods

    • Cerebellar stimulation

    • Interactive metronome therapy

    • Tomatis therapy

    • Forbrain phonemic awareness correction

3️⃣ Development must progress across multiple domains.

  • Early developmental pathways are interconnected. We focus on how speech, motor skills, and socio-emotional abilities work together in a child's development.

Our Goal

We create individualized support programs based on:
✅ The child’s current developmental level
Their unique neuropsychological profile
The child’s relationships and social environment

This comprehensive approach ensures that children receive the best possible support to improve their cognitive, emotional, and social development.
